3D scanning · Reverse engineering From a physical part to a precise digital model.

We turn parts, tools and structures into accurate 3D models ready for CNC, 3D printing and further engineering — even when there are no drawings, or the part is worn or damaged.

What we do

We digitise reality — accurately, quickly and without drawings.

Two closely related disciplines at the core of every project.

3D scanning a part with a laser scanner01 · SCANNING

What is 3D scanning?

The process of turning a real object into a precise digital 3D model. Used for measurement, dimensional control, CAD modelling, reverse engineering, CNC machining and 3D printing — especially when drawings don't exist or the part is worn.

What is reverse engineering?

The process of turning an existing physical part into an accurate CAD model ready for modification, production or reconstruction. Used when there are no drawings, when a part is damaged or obsolete, or when a new, improved version is needed.

Services

Everything from scan to finished design.

The whole chain in one place — from capturing the real part to a model ready for production.

01

3D scanning

Using the professional ScanTech SimScan 30 scanner we laser-capture the part's shape and record thousands of measurement points for an exact digital copy of the real object — even without drawings or on worn parts.

02

3D measurement (metrology)

Precise inspection of a part's dimensions and shape using 3D scanning.

  • Tolerance control
  • Comparison with the CAD model
  • Detecting deviations
03

Reverse engineering

From the scan data we build a clean, functional CAD model.

  • Rebuilding parts without original drawings
  • Improving an existing design
  • Preparation for CNC, 3D printing and series production
04

General engineering

Design and fabrication of metal and mechanical frames, supports and assemblies. Modern engineering software for precise 3D models — accurate, stable and ready for manufacturing or assembly to industrial standards.

Quality control

Deviations you can see — to a hundredth of a millimetre.

We compare the scanned part with the CAD model and show a colour deviation map. Blue means within tolerance, red means deviation — so you can check every detail before production.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about 3D scanning.

How much does 3D scanning cost?

3D scanning is charged at €80 per hour; reverse engineering, 3D measurement and design/drawings at €40 per hour. The total depends on the size and complexity of the part — before starting we send a quote with an estimate of the hours.

How accurate is the 3D scanning?

We scan with the professional ScanTech SimScan 30 laser scanner at an accuracy of up to 0.02 mm — enough for CAD modelling, tolerance checks and comparison with drawings.

Can you create a CAD model of a part with no drawings?

Yes — that is exactly what reverse engineering is. We scan the part and build a clean, functional CAD model from the scan data, even when the part is worn, damaged or obsolete.

What can the 3D models be used for?

For CNC machining, 3D printing and series production, for modifying and improving an existing design, and for dimensional quality control.
